- Building age. A 1920s inner west terrace hides different problems from a 2005 Hills estate house.
- Access and parking. No off-street parking, a narrow lane or four flights of stairs adds labour hours to every delivery.
- Apartment rules. Strata approval, restricted work hours and lift bookings stretch programs in higher density areas.
